Heimtextil 2009 will open its doors in just a few weeks and trade visitors from all over the world will make their way to Frankfurt to gain an overview of the latest developments in the market for home and household textiles.

A subject that is increasingly occupying both exhibitors and visitors in this connection is sustainability. Therefore, discussions about the ecological and economic purpose of business activities will play a particularly important role at Heimtextil 2009.

"It has become extremely difficult for manufacturers, dealers and consumers to find their way around an irritating number of ecological labels and standards", says John Mowbray, Editor-in-Chief of Eco Textile News magazine and publisher of our Eco Textile Labelling Guide. Nevertheless, extensive knowledge of the market is required in addition to knowing about ecological certificates.

In this newsletter, you will find details of the solid information about green business, 'eco luxury' and innovation to be provided in our 'Let’s talk about it' series of lectures. Also covered in this newsletter: the new Heimtextil Trends, online ticket orders and the practical Xyber Scout.

We hope we have been able to arouse your interest and will send you the next newsletter at the beginning of January.

With best wishes from Frankfurt,

Ulrike Wechsung (Director, Heimtextil) and
Meike Schad (Director, Heimtextil)
